Chapel Service is where I have an opportunity to bring God's word to the lifters. It is a time of teaching and preparing the athletes spiritually to go on the platform and do the best that they can. Chapel services also bring the opportunity for Elva-Jean and me to have one to one prayer with individuals. This will be an instrumental time to bring awareness to the fact that God plays a part in their lives and in sports. Also as these athletes have real life issues it also gives an opportunity to minister to personal needs as well.
Social Media Ministry is where I have the opportunity to motivate, challenge and encourage the world for Christ. This ministry has given me the opportunity to reach people that I never would have imagined. I post at least two times a month and always start off with a scripture. I have had tremendous response and encouragement as the posts have impacted young and old alike. I have followers from atheist to Christians reading the post and watching the videos. God has been using this ministry in a powerful way and I am so grateful to be able to serve the Lord in this way!!
Spirit Lifter Ministries, in partnership with Athletes in Action Canada, seeks to glorify God through the area of powerlifting. We aim to strengthen and lift up powerlifting athletes and engage them with the Christian faith in Canada and around the world. We encourage the athletes to think critically about their identity and place within the world of sport. Through the integration of faith, life, and sport we believe each person can experience a victory beyond competition. This is done through Chapel services and social media ministry.
